Clare Thompson
Trustee
Clare is a senior audit partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She is a specialist in the insurance industry and leads the PwC insurance practice in the UK. Over the years she has worked with many of PwC's major UK listed clients both in this sector and more generally. Clare currently has two charity audit clients – Wellcome Trust and The Prince's Trust. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and was admitted to partnership in 1988.
In a personal capacity Clare is a member of the finance committee of the British Red Cross – this is a subcommittee of the board of trustees dealing with all financial matters.
She is married with two children in their 20’s. Interests are sailing and ski-ing – she and David try and spend weekends at their Norfolk holiday home whenever possible.
