Dr Jenny Longmore

Jenny Longmore trained as a pharmacologist and physiologist at the University of Sheffield before undertaking a PhD in clinical pharmacology and experimental psychiatric medicine at the University of Manchester.
With 20 years experience in neuroscience (8 years as an academic researcher and 12 years as a senior scientist at Merck Sharp & Dohme’s Neuroscience Research Centre) Jenny is recognised as an expert in migraine and pain research, having seen two significant drugs through from preclinical discovery to market release. She has published 61 scientific papers and reviews and 57 abstracts, and is a grant application reviewer for the MRC and Migraine Trust. She was Associate Vice President for BTG (British Technology Group) plc before setting up her own consultancy NeuroKnowledge.
Jenny has developed particular expertise in presenting science-based information to a lay audience. She is a fellow of the British Pharmacological Society and member of the International Headache Society and the British Association for the Study of Headache.
