Autistica held their fourth charity shoot in aid of autism research, which this year was sponsored by NBC Universal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.
Rugby Legends Will Carling, Mike Teague, David Sole, Dean Richards and Phil Blakeway came along to support the event, as well as just under 100 attendees – many from the world of TV and media – for what was their most successful shoot ever.A new award for the NBC Best Beginner was won by William Campbell and Top Gun was once again, won by Phil Blakeway.
Thousands of pounds were raised in the fabulous auction, which included a one day Shoot on Culham Court Estate in Henley on Thames, a 5 night stay at the Jamaica Inn in Jamaica, a day's sailing with Dean Richards and a private film screening in London.
Lynn Hart, Head of Events said "We are delighted that the day raised just under £45,000 and would like to thank everyone for their support, particularly NBC Universal International. With the incredibly generous auction prizes that were donated and the outstanding hospitality at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, it was truly a magnificent day".
All monies raised on the day, will enable Autistica to continue helping to fund a catalogue of ground-breaking research projects aimed at identifying the under-lying causes of autism.
