Belfast
Date : 28th March 2011, 10.00-15.00
Location : Queen's University Belfast
Event : Autism Awareness Seminar
We have organised our 2nd Annual Spring Seminar to coincide with WAAD and offer an Autism Awareness Seminar in the week leading up to it. With a rise in prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) to nearly 1:100 it is highly likely that staff in Health, Education, and Social Care professions will meet individuals diagnosed with ASD, even if they are not specialising in the area. This seminar is aimed at students about to qualify and staff already in Health, Education, and Social Care professions who are non- specialists in ASD. We will provide the audience with an awareness and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including Aspergers Syndrome. The seminar will start at 10.00, with coffee available from 9.30. During the lunch break, a light sandwich lunch will be provided. The seminar is expected to close around 15.00. The seminar takes place at the School of Education, QUB, 69 University Street Belfast, BT7 1HL. Room G13 (Cathcart Room). Please contact Lynsay @ PEAT on 028 9032 4882
