- Informal open sessions to talk one to one with professionals in the field

Event : Humber Bridge Sponsored Walk
To celebrate the World Autism Day the young people, staff and friends from Thorpe House, AALPS NORTH (Options Group) are intending to walk across the famous Humber Bridge.Sponsorship is being sought for this event and the proceeds will be shared between the NAS and Magic Moments cafe. All the young people taking part have Autism.

Hope House School for children with autism is packing bags for the day at Sainsburys Supermarket. We are also trying to target other supermarkets in the area so that people can "Stand Up for Autism"

Event: ‘Autism Play and Leisure Conference’
This is a full day conference, with registration at (9.00 for a 9.30 start). The confirmed speakers are Dr Wendy Russell (Senior Lecturer in Playwork, University of Gloucestershire) and Ben Kingston-Hughes (Play Development Co-ordinator Children’s Links and Lecturer in Playwork at Loughborough College). In addition there will be a third speaker and workshops and displays from various organisations that we work with.
Prices are £20 for NORSACA members, £28 for parents/carers and £55 for professionals. A hot Indian buffet lunch is included.
