Events taking part in Wales
Date: 9 April, 1pm
Location: Wales Millennium Centre
Event: The Little Yellow Bird
Local charity Touch Trust will run a three day Easter Project from 7th - 9th April which will culminate in a live creative performance in the foyer of Wales Millennium Centre. The brand new piece entitled "The Little Yellow Bird" is based on a children's book by Phil Madden and the performance will take place on Friday 9th April between 1.00-2.00pm. The performance will feature Touch Trust guests and their carers with a special guest appearance from well known opera singer Owen Webb. Touch Trust is a pioneering charity offering unique and creative movement education, and dance programmes primarily for individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders, those with complex needs and behaviour that challenges, but also to other groups in the community. Touch Trust works throughout Cardiff and the surrounding areas and has just returned from a highly successful trip to Hong Kong where they demonstrated their work and now hope to replicate the work seen in Wales Millennium Centre. This performance will be a great occasion celebrating diversity in a fun and inclusive environment. Touch Trust encourages people of all ages and abilities to come and join in the fun at this free performance - you may even find yourself up and dancing! The performance will be filmed for DVD and this will be shown at an international conference in Helsinki later this year.
