As we head into an exciting future with a new strategy and major campaign to dramatically improve the lives of Autistic people, our dynamic, progressive and talented fundraising team are looking for an equally passionate and motivated Supporter Engagement Manager.
Responsible to: Head of Fundraising
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: Home-based until our return to a central-London office
About the role
The Supporter Engagement Manager will drive a new approach to engaging with our fundraisers and donors that is insight-led, systematic and scalable. Using one-to-one and one-to-few communication tactics and qualitative and quantitative insights, the post holder will develop, manage and optimise supporter journeys and experiences that maximise engagement and income in the short and long term. The role works collaboratively with colleagues in other engagement teams to integrate plans and ensure a seamless delivery of supporter experiences.
The postholder will be working with several our different fundraising audiences, including Individual Giving, Community, Events as well as supporting the work of the Trusts and Foundations Team. As a central point to the team, you will ensure that our prospecting and engagement processes are second to none, that our research of key prospects and opportunities are on point to give Autistica the edge that it merits, so will give you great exposure into all aspects of fundraising.
You will identify appropriate ways to inform and inspire, producing propositions, products, messaging, cases for support, reports and digital infographics that support our communications and fundraising.
The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, with attention to detail and someone that enjoys data and insight, the creation of interesting and engaging supporter journeys, as well as feeling comfortable creating compelling content that engages our existing audiences, but also attracts new audiences.
You’ll be organised, enjoy turning insights into engaging, accessible content, excited about trying new things and committed to measuring performance and impact. You will enjoy the rapid pace of a nimble fundraising team and you will be comfortable with making decisions quickly and responding to the latest trends, topics and content.
You will be proficient at using Raisers Edge, our CRM; to manage the data we contain about our supporters and prospects. This will include running queries so you can gain insights to inform your work as well as importing and exporting supporter data so that the information we hold is well maintained.
We particularly encourage applications from autistic people, people with other neurodevelopmental conditions and people from any other groups or backgrounds who are currently under-represented within the charity sector.
