Partners of Autistica do more than just raise money, they play a practical role in improving the lives of autistic people. We work with companies to increase understanding of autism and neurodiversity and invest in research to build long, happy, healthy lives for autistic people and their families.

Many of your employees will have a personal connection to autism. Choosing Autistica as your next charity partner will help them feel more understood at work, drive employee engagement and be a catalyst for change.

Each of our partnerships is unique. Whether you are looking to engage employees and customers or strengthen your brand awareness, we’ll work with you to ensure our partnership is valuable and impactful.

Partnership stories

Fujitsu

Fujitsu employees selected Autistica as their Charity Partner 2019/20. The charity is close to many employees’ hearts - for personal or family reasons. Our partnership will increase understanding of autism throughout Fujitsu and kickstart life-changing research, campaigning and innovation projects that will benefit thousands of families across the UK.

We aim to raise £150,000 over two years through a range of employee-led events, including World Autism Awareness Day fundraisers, quizzes, golf days and 5K races. Fujitsu is also providing their specialist skills to support our Creating Better Environments project - creating a digital platform to help autistic people better navigate environments.

Our partnership ambition with Fujitsu is to enable
autistic people to better manage their sensory needs by:

- Developing technology
- Raising awareness of autism across the UK
- Skill sharing with Autistica’s team
- Raising Autistica’s profile through professional networks

“Autistica is a small charity with real potential and a
cause which resonates with many colleagues here. We would love to see Fujitsu acting as a platform for growth to scale up their crucial work and enable a step change for so many autistic people who desperately need better support.”
Andrew Cooper, Fujitsu

Jupiter Asset Management

We are partnering with Jupiter Asset Management as their Charity of The Year from January 2019, for two years. Our partnership aims to raise vital funds for Autistica whilst increasing understanding of autism throughout the company. Through Lunch and Learn sessions, lectures and talks we are raising awareness of the strengths autistic people can bring to their roles and how simple changes in HR practices can improve inclusivity.

For World Autism Awareness Day this year, Jupiter organised a Giving Gate where employees could make a payroll giving donation simply by tapping their work passes on the entrance gates. This simple and easy way to donate also played a key role in promoting the partnership profile across the firm.

Paperchase

Since 2016 our Cause Related Marketing campaign with Paperchase has raised nearly £50,000. Each year we work with Paperchase to create a bespoke design of Christmas cards which are sold on-line and in Paperchase stores across the UK. Our partnership with Paperchase not only raises vital funds, it also crucially increases awareness of autism to their staff and customers.

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner

We partnered with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner from January 2017 for 19 months as their Charity Partner, following a staff wide vote. The partnership was a fantastic success raising over £146,400 through quizzes, Beat the Heat dress down days and Christmas Card donations through their eco-friendly paper reducing scheme. Through the partnership we were able to increase awareness of autism throughout the firm and increase understanding of the Autistica’s research.

‘We supported Autistica for 19 months, as they stayed with us whilst our two legacy firms merged rather than the usual one year. Members of the firm really connected and engaged with the charity over this longer-than-usual period. It was great to have a two-way street – working together to raise awareness of the issues experienced by people with autism and their families as well as the firm providing fundraising for Autistica’s very necessary work.’ Esther Schillinger, Corporate Responsibility Advisor, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner
