Our current priority is sharing high-quality resources with our Discover members. We may take longer than normal to share your research participation adverts.
We are not currently sharing invites to take part in studies requiring in-person attendance or where participation could be detrimental to participants' well being.
We know that finding participants who can take part in your research is not easy.
This is one of the reasons we set up the Discover Research Network. We want to help researchers to speed up the research process and to do bigger and better research.
We can help you find
- autistic people
- parents or family members of autistic people
- autism researchers
- professionals who work with autistic people
Some questions you might have
Who can apply?
Researchers who are currently completing or who previously completed a PhD and who are based at a university or NHS Trust in the UK.
How do I apply?
Submit an application online and a member of the Discover team will review your application and get back to you.
Does my research need ethical approval?
Yes. We will only advertise research studies that have been approved by a UK university or NHS research ethics committee. You can apply to Discover before you've received ethical approval and we will review your application and let you know if we think we can help but we will not advertise your study until it has ethical approval.
Can Autistica give my study ethical approval?
No. We will review your research to make sure it has been given ethical approval but can't review it and judge whether it meets ethical standards, a university or NHS ethics board will need to do this.
Is there a cost?
If you are a researcher at a UK university who is looking to find participants for a research study there is no cost associated with advertising to the Discover Research Network.
