Cancer Research UK would like to invite primary carers/parents of autistic people with learning difficulties to a workshop exploring physical healthcare and wellbeing.

The workshop aims to understand how people with learning difficulties can be better supported, in order to improve cancer prevention and early diagnosis.

Workshop date: Thursday 5 July

Time: 14.00 - 16.00

Location: Lift in Angel, Islington (Lift, 45 White Lion Street, London, N1 1PW). The nearest underground station is Angel - 5 minutes walk away.

Expenses and involvement fee: Your travel expenses will be covered and you will be offered an involvement fee of £45 for your time.

The workshop will be a small and casual discussion. You can expect to share your experiences and knowledge of:

  • Caring for an autistic person with learning difficulties
  • What support networks, services and information are most useful to you in helping the person you support to stay well
  • Cancer prevention and early diagnosis

10-15 primary carers/parents can attend the workshop. Attendees will be selected on a first come, first served basis.
