Adrian Binks is chairman, chief executive and controlling shareholder of the Argus Media group of companies.
Adrian is a committed philanthropist, providing time and substantial funding to charities. He is especially interested in charities focused on autism, medical research, and education. He has supported our work over many years, gifting over £1.2 million, through personal donations and Argus Media.
Adrian has supported several projects that improve our understanding of autism. He has also contributed a considerable sum to establish Autism Action (The Autism Centre of Excellence at Cambridge). He has recently given to the National Association for Advancing Autism Education to support secretarial services. Alongside the NHS, Adrian is supporting research to develop training for professionals to improve communication between parents and young autistic people, led by Professor Jonathan Green at Manchester University.
Adrian's son, William, is 27. He is autistic and has a moderate learning disability. He loves kayaking, and Adrian and William particularly enjoy getting out on the water together.
