Meet the neurodivergent cast featured in our short film Autistic. So what?
For World Autism Acceptance Month, we worked with all-autistic protagonists to feature in our film Autistic. So, what. Here, you can learn a little more about each of them.
The world needs to be more accepting of autistic people, because we’re not going anywhere!
Nina
It’s nice to see campaigns that show being autistic as part of a person, rather than their whole identity. I'm autistic. It's the way my brain works. It's a part of me, but not the whole me.
Anouska
I work with autistic young autistic people and their parents. I wanted to be a role model and show them that I'm autistic. So what?
Leticia
For me, social gatherings have always been difficult. It's so freeing that I'm now able to advocate for myself and say, 'I'm autistic. So what?' and not need to worry about what other people are going to think.
Rachel
It's important to be kind to autistic people because we have feelings too. And it is always good to be kind!
Daniel
This campaign matters as it challenges attitudes towards autistic people. By saying 'so what?', it's changing from judgment towards autistic people, towards understanding and more acceptance.
Bradley
A huge thank you to our fantastic 'so what?' cast for getting involved in this campaign.
