We are delighted to be one of the designated charities that streamers can raise funds for as part of the Jingle Jam event this December.

Our partnership

In the past, research has focused on the negative impact and influence of games and screen time. But we know from recent studies that games can be an important pillar of support for autistic children, young people and adults. They can help them learn new skills, connect with friends, and socialise in a way that works differently from face-to-face interaction. Games can provide a safe environment for autistic people to thrive.

Giorgia Molinari, Head of Corporate and Games Partnerships at Autistica, said: "This powerful partnership will help us develop evidence-based mental health and well-being solutions and share these with a much wider community. The support from the Jingle Jam will bring us closer to achieving our mission of creating a more inclusive and enabling world by 2030 – we couldn’t be more proud and grateful."

The funds raised from the Jingle Jam will help us create a Mental Health and Wellbeing Tips Hub for young autistic people.

About The Jingle Jam

The Jingle Jam is the world’s biggest games charity event, taking place every year. Since its inception in 2011, the Jingle Jam has raised over $21 million (£16 million) for charitable projects worldwide.

From 1st to 14th December, the Jingle Jam will bring together the gaming community in a large-scale fundraising event. Streamers choose from a specially-curated selection of games known as the Jingle Jam Games Collection, which gets sent to anyone who donates over the minimum amount. Streamers try these games, live-stream their content and fundraise for their chosen charity.

Dom Shaw, an Autistica Play Ambassador, said: "I am overwhelmed with how much was raised for Autistica during the Jingle Jam 2021. The event proved that there are people who want to hear neurodiverse narratives and see more autistic individuals flourish."
